About Angela
Angela grew up riding with Jefferson County's Westernaires. She
rode as a Westernaire for 10 years and was a member of the
prestigious Varsity Big Red. While a member of the Westernaires,
Angela performed shows in Vernal, Utah; Trinidad, Colorado; Estes
Park, Colorado; at the National Western Stock Show, and for
President Clinton at the Summit of the Eight.
In high school, she started giving lessons to neighborhood kids
for extra money. Teaching was something she really enjoyed!
She also was a member of the Colorado National High School
Rodeo Association. She would give lessons all summer to help pay
for her entry fees in barrel racing and team roping.

After high school, Angela continued to Rodeo with the  National
Intercollegiate Rodeo Association at Northeastern Junior College.
She concentrated on barrel racing.
Angela was enrolled with Northeastern Junior College's Equine
Management program from 1998-2000. There she learned to train
horses and start two-year-olds under Ken Amen. She was a
member of the 1999 Showmanship Team and Vice President of the
Equine Management Club 1999-2000.

After NJC Angela headed South! She trained with Metcalf Quarter
Horses in Pilot Point, Texas. She gained experience working with
an all around program, riding Western Pleasure, Western Riding,
Reining and Working Cow Horses.

In the fall of 2000, Angela came home to Colorado to finish her BA
in Equine Science. While at Colorado State University, Angela was
a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association in
2000-2001. Then in 2003, Angela became a member of the Colorado
State University's Horse Judging Team. Her team had a very
successful year! They were 2nd at the APHA Sweepstakes in Fort
Worth, Texas; AQHA Congress Champions; and Reserve AQHA
World Show Champions.

Judging for CSU has opened many doors for judging 4-H and Open
Horse Shows throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Angela is now
working on pursuing her APHA card this year!

After school, Angela really wanted to get back to training and
working with clients giving lessons full time!
Angela and her husband Ryan, are now in Kiowa, Colorado where
they own and operate Windy View Performance Horses!
